I have got a question on twitter:

Q: how would you change it from the play going in the same 1v1 area all the time?

A: I will make a restriction, that says "you are not allowed to play into the same 1v1 zone twice in a row".

No, this overload is rare in matches. But this drill is not intended to coach the overload of 4v2, but to use the 4v2 overload to create triangles and keep width and depth, when you are in possession.

Hi Huliogeordio,

The neutral players are the key players in this exercise for creating a 4v2 in both half.

You can also use this drill as a more tactical by placing your players in the position, they use to play in your formation.

For example, if you use a 4-3-3. You can place your keeper as 1. Place your back four from 2-5. The def. midfield as 6, the two central midfield players as 8 and 10. The wings as 7 and 11. The center forward will be the 9.
